In October, we had the honor of meeting a few new kiddos in addition to our regular passengers. One of our highlights this month was when one of regular passengers got to meet Spider Man at the hospital. Seeing this little man full of joy was beyond sweet. We’re not just about giving a ride to treatment, we’re about taking away some of the stress families of kids with cancer face so they can enjoy these types of moments that many of take for granted. This day was a great reminder that #TransportingTheBrave is best job in the world!
October Miles
In October alone, Daniel’s Care Van Transported the Brave a total of 1,834 miles. Since we started back in April, we’ve driven a total of over 6,700 miles! That’s a lot of miles! In fact, we’ve driven as many miles Transporting the Brave as it would take us to drive from Denver to New York City and back, TWICE!
New Ways to Donate
This month transported a family from Fort Collins to and from an important outpatient appointment. We know many people want to help us continue to Transport the Brave all along the Colorado Front Range, so we have developed some easy ways for donors to sponsor rides. Click here to check it out! We are also looking for an E-470 toll sponsor. This sponsor would allow us to use E-470 during peak traffic hours to ensure the child is on time to their appointments. Contact us if you’re interested in being our toll sponsor.
We Love Our Donors!
Daniel’s Care Van is funded completely through donations. Whether it’s a small one-time donation or a recurring gift, our generous donors keep us on the road Transporting the Brave every day. To show our appreciation, we’re offering these great Daniel’s Care Van wristbands to anyone donating $25 or more. Donors who sign up to make recurring monthly donations will receive 4 wrist bands to share with friends. Help us spread the love of #TransportingTheBrave.
