Happy June to you! After a few spring snowstorms here in Denver last month, we’re grateful for the sunshine lately and looking forward to a summer full of Transporting the Brave. Last month, we drove nearly 1,200 miles, with 163 of those driven by volunteer drivers. This month, we’re also busy planning our 1st annual Kickball Tournament and Family Fun Event, which is just over a month away. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to play or donated to the event already. Daniel’s Care Van is funded completely by donations, so your support literally keeps us on the road. See below or click here for more information — hope to see you there! [Read more…]
We’ve had a busy month here at Daniel’s Care Van! We are driving kids 4-5 days per week now. Calls have been coming in from new patients from both Children’s Hospital Colorado and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children all along the Front Range.

From Ivy’s lemonade stand to the emergency car upholstery shampoo done for free from All Pro Auto, we’re definitely feeling the love of the community as we continue #TransportingTheBrave! Daniel’s Care Van would like to give a huge shout out to the guys at All Pro Auto Inc, on West Hampden. They did an emergency upholstery shampoo for us today, as they were closing, free of charge. One of the horrible side effects of chemo is getting sick and we accept that this is part of #TransportingTheBrave. Thank you All Pro Auto for helping us out this afternoon.
What a great day ahead! We have a couple of kids we are getting to appointments today and tonight DCV is honored to be a part of the Denver Zoo Dream Night, a special night for children with special needs to visit the zoo without the crowds. We can’t wait! [Read more…]
