YOU are Transporting the Brave.
2020 has been a difficult time for non-profits everywhere. The vast majority of charities have seen a decrease in donations, perhaps because their core followers are themselves facing financial hardships or directing their donation dollars to pandemic related causes. We understand, we really do. Though we’ve felt the same pinch as other non-profits, we’re also extremely lucky to have a variety of fundraising opportunities available to help keep us on the road. To everyone who has donated so far this year: Thank you! YOU are Transporting the Brave. Read on to find out about all the opportunities to support Daniel’s Care Van.
Happy 12th Birthday Daniel!
To help us honor Daniel on his birthday, can you donate $12?
Daniel’s Care Van exists because Daniel showed his family and friends what it meant to give. He would give his toys, balloons, and smiles to other kids in the hospital and he left a deep impression on the staff who knew him well. It is Daniel’s giving spirit that inspires us in our mission of Transporting the Brave. Thank you for your support!
We CAN Make a Difference
Kids get cancer, too. We know this because we live it every day with the kids we drive and the paths we’ve walked with our own children. In this very moment, we can’t change that. We can’t change the fact that cancer is the leading cause of disease-related deaths in children. We can’t alter the reality that 43 children are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. every day. And although we want to more than anything in the world, we can’t change the heartbreaking truth that cancer steals 1,800 children from this earth every year.
Right now, today, we can’t change any of the harsh realities around this awful disease. We can, however, do our part to increase awareness – not just during this official month of Childhood Cancer Awareness, but every month, and every day. Awareness = Funding = Cure. Each one of us individually, and all of us together, can be a part of that equation. [Read more…]
United in The Challenge 2020
We’re very excited to announce a collaborative fundraising effort with two other non-profits – Ray of Hope and Energy Outreach Colorado – called The Challenge 2020. The families we drive very often need more than just transportation, and these two organizations provide different levels of financial support to help cancer patients get through the toughest times of their lives. We’re honored to be a part of this united front to serve families in multiple ways, and we look forward to sharing more information on this program soon.
