Kids get cancer, too. We know this because we live it every day with the kids we drive and the paths we’ve walked with our own children. In this very moment, we can’t change that. We can’t change the fact that cancer is the leading cause of disease-related deaths in children. We can’t alter the reality that 43 children are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. every day. And although we want to more than anything in the world, we can’t change the heartbreaking truth that cancer steals 1,800 children from this earth every year.
Right now, today, we can’t change any of the harsh realities around this awful disease. We can, however, do our part to increase awareness – not just during this official month of Childhood Cancer Awareness, but every month, and every day. Awareness = Funding = Cure.
